6Th Annual Bird Island Challenge: The Gleason Family YMCA is now accepting registrations for all types of boats for the 6th Annual Challenge on Sunday, August 10th. Choice of 3 courses: 3 mile Long Beach, 6 mile Great Hill and 12 mile Bird Island. The race begins at from Zecco Marine in downtown Wareham. Breakfast, lunch provided, t-shirt and race packet provided. Participants must register in advance with a $30.00 before 7/18 or $40 after 7/18 registration fee to benefit the scholarship program which provides YMCA memberships, camp and programs to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it on their own.
