Introducing the fourth annual BEARiverFest Kayak Races. There are two race categories: Time Trial and Boater Cross. The Time Trial contest is simple: Kayakers will do a timed run solo down the length of the race course. Boater Cross: Four kayakers start at once and race against each other the length of the course. The winner from each Boater Cross heat advances to compete against winners from other heats.
New for this year will be men’s and women’s categories for each race.
The races will take place on the Bear River in Evanston, Wyoming. Racers will encounter class II and III rapids and maneuver around boulders down the length of the restored Bear River through the Bear River Greenway. Spectators will enjoy the scenic beauty of the Bear River Greenbelt and Uinta Mountains, as well as feel the excitement of witnessing kayakers compete against themselves, the clock, and each other.
