Event Description:
In addition to a full compliment of kayaking, mountain biking, fly fishing and even dog events, the 2008 Games will feature numerous clinics and exhibitions put on by some of the world’s most elite professional athletes. With such a myriad of activities, the 2008 Lyons Outdoor Games promises to be our best event yet.
Location
Nestled in the Foothills 15 miles north of Boulder, the tiny hamlet of Lyons boasts a myriad of world-class outdoor recreational activities. Legendary kayaking, biking and fly fishing are all within a stone’s throw of historic Main Street.
This mountain landscape along with Lyons hometown culture are the defining forces behind the Lyons Outdoor Games. Additionally, Lyons is known as the "Gateway to the Rockies" as it serves as a charming oasis for the millions visiting Rocky Mountain National Park each year.

Two great mountain bike rides on Hall Ranch Ranch are an easy ride from downtown Lyons
The Heil Ranch connecting trail will provide access to another classic mountain bike trail
Legendary Fly Waters
Wild browns are caught up and down the St. Vrain right here in town.
The Big Thompson as well as the famed waters of Rocky Mountain National Park are less than a 30 minutes away.
