The City of Phoenix, Arizona is the capital and the most populous city of the State of Arizona and the county seat of Maricopa County . Phoenix, known as the Valley of the Sun, is home to almost 1.5 million people making it the sixth-largest city in the United States and the largest state capital in the United States.
