Winter Park is only 67 miles away from Denver which makes it an easy place to get to for your Colorado vacation. Winter Park is located in the Fraser Valley in Grand County Colorado. The population of Winter Park and Fraser is under 2000 year round residents. Winter Park Ski Resort is the main winter attraction. In the summer people take their Colorado vacation to Winter Park via Rocky Mountain National Park.

The main attraction in Winter Park are the ski area during the winter and Rocky Mountain National Park during the summer. Winter Park Ski Resort has an average vertical drop of 1700 feet with the top elevation of 12,060 feet. The Ski area has mostly "Most Difficult" Terrain at 54% and 21% Intermediate Terrain, the rest varies. Winter Park is known for its shopping and lively western atmosphere. Rocky Mountain National Park is known for its majestic scenery and wildlife.
