 Sunriver is located in Central Oregon, two miles west of Highway 97 and 15 miles south of Bend with a permanent population of approximately 1,700; though at any given time it may have several times that number of vacationers. Sunriver is bordered by the Deschutes River and is surrounded by National Forest Land.
Sunriver is surrounded by natural volcanic wonders found over 6,000 years ago, such as Lava Butte to the north and Newberry National Monument to the south. If you are a skier, you will enjoy cross-country skiing in the woods or cross-country and downhill skiing at Mt. Bachelor. The Northwest's premier recreational mountain has a diverse array of slopes for all skills level skiers and is located just 18 miles west of Sunriver. Nearby popular attractions include fun and activities for the entire family year round.
