Difficulty:  Class I , Class II

Good Level:  4.0 - 5.6 feet
Streamflow Comments:  Minimum = 4.0 feet, Optimum = 4.5 - 5.6 feet on the Buffalo River Near Boxley Gauge
Season Comments:  March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October
Primary Season:  Good flows and warm temperatures attract most paddlers between mid March through October
Permit:  None Presently Required
Character/Similar To:  Mostly flatwater with a couple of class II rapids. Great scenery.
Hazards:  Erbie Ford Rapids is a class II rapid 5.2 miles below the put in.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan,canoe,touring
Camping on River:  Campground at Erbie Ford, 1 mile below Erbie Ford, and Ozark Campground
Location:  In the Southeastern U.S. (AR), 149 Miles Northwest of Little Rock, AR
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Pruitt turn east off AR 7 onto Pruitt-Yardell Road. Take the first right onto County Road 472 and continue to the river.

Put In: From the take out return to AR 7 and turn left. Continue on AR 7 for 5.5 miles and turn right onto AR 74. In 4.8 miles turn right onto Kyles Landing Road, take this road for 2.6 miles to the put in at Kyle's Landing.
