Take Out:  Highway 21 Bridge at Boxley
Difficulty:  Class II , Class III +
Gradient:  33 fpm
Run Length:  13.6 miles

Good Level:  4.5 - 8 feet
Streamflow Comments:  Higher levels make this stretch less pool drop and more continuous.
Season Comments:  March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October
Primary Season:  Good flows and warm temperatures attract alot of boaters from March through October
Permit:  None presently required
Hazards:  This run often contains sweepers that cover some or all the main channel. Scout for undercut rocks in the rapids. This run is very remote for the first 12 miles. This run is mostly pool drop but the pools are often short and swift.

Take Out: In Boxley, take out were highway 21 crosses over the river.

Put In: From the take out drive south on Highway 21 for 18.3 miles. Turn right onto NFR 1463(Newton County 14) and continue for 3.1 miles to the river.
