Put In:  Goodwin Dam
Take Out:  Knight's Ferry
Difficulty:  Class III , Class IV , Class V , Portage several
Gradient:  30 ft/mi
Run Length:  4 miles
Good Level:  500-5,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  500 - 1,000 cfs is class III-IV+, greater then 1,000 cfs is class III-V
Season Comments:  May, June, July, August
Primary Season:  Dependant on dam releases. Usually runs during the summer.
Permit:  None presently required.
Character/Similar To:  Moderate average gradient with long pools between the drops and occasional steep, tight, and rocky rapids.
Hazards:  Several difficult rapids that may require portaging. Trees and brush become major hazards at high flows.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan,raft
Land Ownership:  Mixed
Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Private campground at Knight's Ferry Resort.
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 96 miles Southeast of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Turn north off Hwy 108/120 about 15 miles east of Oakdale onto Tulloch Road toward Goodwin Dam. Put-in on the Army Corps of Engineers property (left bank) about a half mile downstream of the dam.

Take-out: Turn north off the highway 12 miles east of Oakdale. Take-out either at the Knight's Ferry Bridge or at the parking lot on the left bank half a mile downstream.
