Difficulty:  Class IV , Class V , Portage 3
Gradient:  115 fpm
Run Length:  6 miles
Good Level:  400 - 800 cfs, Optimum 700 cfs
Season Comments:  April, May, June, July, August
Primary Season:  Usually runs during normal peak season

Hazards:  This is a technical and continuous section of class IV/V whitewater. There are a few mandatory portages and many possible portages

Shuttle Logistics: 

Put In: From Sonora drive 50 miles east on Route 108 to the Clark Fork turn-off. In .5 miles cross over the Middle Stanislaus, put in under the bridge just below Tightrope Rapid.

Take Out: The take out for this section is very difficult to find. From Route 108 take the paved road to Beardsley Reservoir. In about 2 miles turn right onto FR 5N95. In 3 miles turn right onto FR 5N09X. Follow this road for 10 miles and it should lead to Donnell Lake Dam. This road can sometimes be block by a gate.
