Put In:  Mt.Knight Trail
Take Out:  Camp 9 Powerhouse
Difficulty:  Class V , Portage 3
Gradient:  90 fpm
Run Length:  8 miles
Good Level:  1,200 - 3,000 cfs, Optimum 2,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  1,200 - 2,000 cfs this run is class V-, 2,000 cfs to 3,000 cfs this run becomes class V
Season Comments:  April, May, June
Primary Season:  Usually runs during peak snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Hazards:  This is a class V wilderness run. There are a few mandatory portages with many possible portages.
Water Craft:  kayak
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), of
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Vallecito drive down the Camp 9 Road, cross the bridge over the river and drive up the river left side on a dirt road. Take out is at the powerhouse.

Put In: Finding the put in can be very difficult. From the take out continue upriver on the dirt road until the Forebay turnoff is reached, turn right here and start tracking the mileage. Drive 7.5 miles to the trail head, the trail starts as a road and in about .5 miles it turns into a trail. Hike down the trail for a couple miles to reach the river.
