Put In:  Plumbago Crossing
Take Out:  Route 49 Bridge
Difficulty:  Class III to IV+ @ 600 - 1,200 cfs , Class IV to V @ 1,200 - 2,000 cfs , Portage
Gradient:  71 fpm
Run Length:  21.7 miles
Good Level:  600 - 2,000 cfs, Optimum 1,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this river, flows are dependent on spillage from the dam.
Season Comments:  March, April, May
Primary Season:  This section usually only runs during the spring.
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  This section contains lots of class IV rapids and many portages around class V/VI rapids.
Hazards:  This is a very long stretch of river and access can be difficult. There are many mandatory portages.
Water Craft:  kayak
Land Ownership:  Public
Wilderness:  No
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 61.1 miles (1 hour 9 minutes) Northeast of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Nevada City, drive north on Highway 49 for 11 miles to the bridge over the Middle Fork, this will be the take out.

Put In: Near the Highway 49 bridge turn upriver on the road leading to North Columbia and Moores Flat.
