Put In:  Nordheimer Creek
Take Out:  Wooley Creek
Difficulty:  Class III to IV+ @ 500 - 2,000 cfs , Class IV to V @ 2,000 - 5,000 cfs
Gradient:  47 fpm
Run Length:  10.2 miles
Current Streamflow:  3630 cfs @ 12/14/2016 08:30 AM - SALMON R A SOMES BAR CA, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  500 - 5,000 cfs, Optimum 1,500 cfs
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This section of river only runs during the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain or during the normal snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Class IV/V boulder gardens, lots of the rapids end in river wide ledge holes.
Hazards:  There are many rapids that should be scouted. A few of the rapids will make you want to portage. Watch out for the many holes that are known to surf kayakers.

Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 307 miles (5 hours 39 minutes) Northwest of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Somes Bar take Route 96 up the Salmon River for 4.5 miles. The take out is just upstream of Wooley Creek at the bridge.

Put In: To reach the put in drive up the Salmon River for another 10 miles and put in at Nordheimer Creek.
