Gradient:  Average 73 fpm, Highest 110 fpm
Run Length:  4.5 miles
Current Streamflow:  9490 cfs @ 12/14/2016 09:00 AM - TRINITY R A HOOPA CA, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  500 - 1,500 cfs, Optimum 1,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this creek. It is usually running when the Trinity River at Hoopa gauge reads between 3,000 cfs and 10,000 cfs
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This section of river only runs during the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain, and during the snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Pool drop class IV/V rapids with a few mandatory portages
Hazards:  Scout and possibly portage Elbow Hit Rapid, it is known for causing bodily harm. Just below Elbow Hit Rapid is a small chute blocked by a large boulder, this is a mandatory portage.

Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 207 miles (3 hours 45 minutes) Northwest of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put In: The put in is below the bridge on Route 36 in Forest Glen.

Take Out: To reach the take out drive west on Route 36 from Forest Glen for a few miles. Turn right onto Klondike Mine Road, in a short distance the road will end. The take out is a short hike down a trail from the end of the road.
