Put In:  Indian Springs
Take Out:  Lake Spaulding
Difficulty:  Class IV , Class V - , Portage
Gradient:  123 fpm
Run Length:  5.5 miles, 2 miles on lake
Good Level:  400 - 1,000 cfs, Optimum 800 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this river.
Season Comments:  March, April, May
Primary Season:  This section of river only runs in the spring, usually during normal snowmelt.
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Fun class IV+ rapids, one long gorge that should be scouted.
Hazards:  In the first mile there is a 25-foot water fall that can be scouted or portaged on the left. Scout the long gorge just below this waterfall.
Water Craft:  kayak
Land Ownership:  Public
Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Camping at the put in, Indian Springs Campground
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 78.6 miles (1 hour 28 minutes) Northeast of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put In: To reach the put in take the Eagle Lakes Road exit for I-80, follow this road until you reach Indian Springs Campground.

Take Out: To reach the take out, take the Route 20 exit off of I-80. In 2.3 miles turn right towards Camp Spaulding, in one mile you will reach the take out at Camp Spaulding.
