Put In:  Washington
Take Out:  Edwards Crossing
Difficulty:  Class IV , Portage
Gradient:  46 fpm
Run Length:  14 miles
Good Level:  700 - 2,000 cfs, Optimum 1,500 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this river
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This section of river runs in the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain or during normal snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  This run consists mostly of pool drop class II/III rapids with a handful of class IV drops.
Hazards:  Scout and possibly portage the 12-foot waterfall at mile 10.5, the portage path is on river left. This is a very demanding waterfall followed by another demanding class IV rapid.

Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 61.1 miles (1 hour 9 minutes) Northeast of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put In: To reach the put in take the Highway 20 exit on I-80 near Yuba Gap. Take the road west for 14 miles and turn right towards Washington.

Take Out: From Nevada City, go north on Highway 49 out of the eastern edge of town. Turn right onto North Bloomfield Road about .3 miles out of town. In about .6 miles you will arrive at a “T” intersection, turn right and follow the road for 6 miles to Edwards Crossing and take out there.
