Put In:  Bridge 8.5 miles upriver from Junction
Take Out:  Junction City
Difficulty:  Class III -IV @ 400-1,000 cfs, III-IV+ @1,000-2,000 cfs
Gradient:  79 fpm
Run Length:  8.5 miles
Current Streamflow:  9490 cfs @ 12/14/2016 09:00 AM - TRINITY R A HOOPA CA, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  400 - 2,000 cfs, Optimum 1,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this creek. This is usually running when the Trinity River at Hoopa gauge reads above 3,000 cfs
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This section of river only runs during the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain, and during the snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Road side run with fun class III/IV rapids, this is a great run for boaters passing through the area.
Hazards:  There are some fast 90 degree corners that require good boat handling skills
Water Craft:  kayak

Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 215 miles (3 hours 40 minutes) Northwest of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: The take out is in Junction City about 9 miles west of Weaverville on Route 299.

Put In: From Junction City take Canyon Creek Road 8.5 miles upriver to the bridge over the creek, put in there.
