Take Out:  Balch Camp
Difficulty:  Class V + , Portage
Gradient:  277 fpm
Run Length:  6.3 miles
Flow Information (phone):  209-443-8245
Good Level:  200 - 400 cfs, Optimum 300 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  For accurate flows call the flow phone and subtract the flow of North Fork Kings River above Dinkey Creek from the flow of North Fork Kings River below Dinkey Creek
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This section of river runs in the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain and during normal snowmelt
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Lots of pool drop class V waterfalls in a scenic isolated canyon
Hazards:  This run should only be attempted by expert kayakers. Most of the drops are class V, portaging around drops usually required strong climbing and rope skills
Water Craft:  kayak
Land Ownership:  Public
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 217 miles (3 hours 41 minutes) Southeast of Sacramento
