Put In:  Bridge at 2nd Divide
Take Out:  Downieville
Difficulty:  Class IV , Portage
Gradient:  121 fpm
Run Length:  3.3 miles
Good Level:  300 - 600 cfs, Optimum 400 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  There is no gauge for this creek
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, May, November, December
Primary Season:  This creek runs during the winter and spring, usually after a few days of heavy rain or during normal snowmelt.
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Small technical class IV creek. Great for intermediate to advanced creek boaters.
Hazards:  There is one mandatory portage around a large rapid. Also there may be wood in or across the main channel.

Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 104 miles (1 hour 57 minutes) Northeast of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: The take out is 40 miles north of Nevada City in Downieville at the Highway 49 bridge.

Put In: From Downieville take the road that follows the Downie River. Follow this road until the second divide and the bridge over Lavezzola Creek. Other put in options exists further down the road.
