Put In:  Fowler Campground
Take Out:  McCloud Reservoir
Difficulty:  Class II to III- @ 200 cfs , Class III to IV > 200 cfs
Gradient:  69 fpm
Run Length:  10 miles
Good Level:  200 cfs at the put in
Season Comments:  April, May, June, July, August
Primary Season:  This section is spring fed and runs during the spring and summer
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Continuous gradient through a scenic canyon
Hazards:  If the put in has about 200 cfs this river will remain class II/III to the take out. If the put in has around 1,000 cfs the river will consist of continuous class IV/V until you reach the take out.

Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Fowlers Campground at the put in.
Location:  In the Pacific Region (CA), 228 miles (3 hours 49 minutes) North of Sacramento
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Dunsmuir drive north on I-5 for 6 miles to the McCloud exit. Follow the signs to the town of McCloud. In the town turn right onto Squaw Valley Road, in 9 miles this road will dead end at Tarantula Gulch Boat Ramp, the take out.

Put In: From the take out return to McCloud and continue east on Highway 89 for 5.5 miles. Turn right onto a dirt road towards Fowlers Campground. Drive down this road and go straight through the 4-way stop. Just after the intersection take the fork to the right and follow this road to the put in at Fowlers Campground.
