Take Out:  North and South Platte Confluence
Difficulty:  Class III

Good Level:  300-800 cfs
Season Comments:  March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October
Primary Season:  Flows depend upon releases, so check flows before you go.
Permit:  No permit required
Character/Similar To:  This popular run begins with easy Class III rapids and technical white water emerges as the canyon narrows. Further downstream there are four miles of Class III+ pool-drop rapids.
Hazards:  Low bridge on lower part of the run that may require portage.

Land Ownership:  Mixed

Camping on River:  No
Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 116 miles Southwest of Denver
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Buffalo Creek Bridge is located where Hwy 126 crosses the river below Pine.

Take-out: A dirt road follows the left bank of the river from Buffalo Creek Bridge to the confluence, providing multiple access points and short shuttles.
