Put In:  Bridge next to Riverside Hotel
Take Out:  Bridge near County Rd. 50 turnoff
Difficulty:  Class IV 400-2000 cfs , Class V - above 2000 cfs
Gradient:  42 feet per mile
Run Length:  2.6 miles
Good Level:  400-2000
Season Comments:  May, June
Primary Season:  This river runs in a region known for its consistent snowfalls. Be ready in the Spring to catch this fun run.
Character/Similar To:  Introductory rapids in the Gore Canyon run.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan,raft
Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), West side of town. Head west on Hwy 40 to the Riverside Hotel. of Hot Sulphur Springs, CO
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in is a bridge near the Riverside Hotel. The take-out is three miles west on Hwy 40 where County Rd. 50 crosses the river.

Byers Canyon on the Colorado River
The crux move is a ledge drop that becomes impassible at low flows and becomes a funneled blast at higher flows. It is a short run that takes about an hour.
