Put In:  USFS Road 314 to Crystal
Take Out:  Beaver Lake
Difficulty:  Class V + 350 cfs , Portage Miller's Falls
Gradient:  Average 347 fpm, Highest is 475 fpm
Run Length:  1.8 miles
Current Streamflow:  47 cfs @ 02/09/2012 01:00 PM - CRYSTAL RIVER AB AVALANCHE C, NEAR REDSTONE, CO., reading taken from USGS
Flow Information (phone):  Watertalk 303-831-7135, 5* 12*. Crystal River above Avalanche Creek near Redstone, CO.
Good Level:  150-300 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  Dont run this section when the section above is running
Season Comments:  July, August
Primary Season:  This section usually runs after peak snowmelt because during the peak this section is much too high
Permit:  No permit required
Character/Similar To:  Class V+ waterfalls in a gorge with very tall walls.
Hazards:  This entire run is a hazard, it recommended that only expert boaters attempt this section.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan
Land Ownership:  Mixed
Wilderness:  No
Camping on River:  Several USFS campgrounds along the river.
Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 204 miles West of Denver
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Take USFS Road 315 from Marble to USFS Road 314 at Lizard Lake. Continue down difficult but not 4x4 road to the river.

Take-out: Drive through Marble on USFS 314 to Beaver Lake.
