Streamflow Comments:  This section is class IV- < 600 cfs, class IV between 600 and 1,000 cfs, and class IV+ >1,000 cfs
Season Comments:  May, June, July, August
Primary Season:  This section of river usually runs during June and July, depending on current snowpack it will sometimes run as early as may and as late as August.
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Continuous whitewater, most drops are long narrow ledge drops creating a fun splashy ride. At flows aound 1,200 cfs expect some good play waves.
Hazards:  At high flows there are very few eddies in this section.

Land Ownership:  Mixed public and private

Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 41.2 miles (51 minutes) West of Denver

Take Out: In the town of Idaho Springs the take out is the park at 23rd and Colorado Street.

Put In: From I-70 take exit 235 to Dumont.
