Mostly flatwater mixed with a few class II/III rapids. This is a great run for beginner kayakers and intermediate canoeist. This section of the Gunnison has great scenery and gives the feeling of a wilderness run even though the highway is only a couple miles away. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Put In: To reach the put in drive north on Highway 50 for 10 miles from Delta. Turn at the large sign for Escalante Canyon. In a few miles put in at the bridge over the Gunnison.
Take Out: In the town of Whitewater the take out is under the Highway 141 bridge. |
