Flow Information (phone):  Watertalk 303-831-7135, 1*, 19*. Cache La Poudre near Ft Collins, CO. This flow is usually determined by a vertical gauge. Click here to receive reports via email.
Good Level:  700-2,000 cfs
Season Comments:  May, June, July, August
Permit:  No permit required
Character/Similar To:  The Poudre is a small, shallow river. When the water is high the play is non-stop. When the river is low it becomes very technical.
Hazards:  Make sure you take out at Picnic Rock because there is a diversion dam just downstream!

Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 68 miles North of Denver
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Located downsteam of the filter plant at mile marker 116.5 on hwy 14. You can unload next to the river, but you must park across the road in the designated parking area.

Take-out: Picnic Rock State Park is located at mile marker 119 on Hwy 14. There is a daily users fee for this area or you can purchase an annual Colorado State Parks Pass. There is a free access point just downstream but before the dam.
