Character/Similar To:  The Poudre is a small, shallow river. When the water is high the play is non-stop. When the river is low it becomes very technical.
Hazards:  Diversion Dam portage. A road runs next to the left bank of the river with a good re-entry point downstream of the diversion dam. Below the dam is a series of chain link fences that extend into the river.

Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 103 miles North of Denver
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: Big Bend Picnic area, mile marker 82.8 on Hwy 14.

Take-out: Drive downstream on Hwy 14. Just after Home Moraine Trailer Park near mile marker 85 the road bends to the right. Take-out at the small turn-out next to the river.
