Continuous class IV whitewater that is a great introduction run into harder creeks. |
| Hazards: |
About half way through the run there is a 3/4" cable that drops into the river. This cable has caused some carnage in the past, if you see it in time it is easily avoidable by portaging or scraping down the side of the river. Also there may be fences crossing the river in a few places. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: From I-70 take Exit 49 towards Collbran, continue through Collbran until crossing over Plateau Creek. After crossing over Plateau Creek take the first left and follow the road to the take out at the bridge over Buzzard Creek.
Put In: From the take out return to the main road at Plateau Creek Bridge, do not cross over the bridge but stay left and take 330 E for 6 miles toward Vega Reservoir. Then turn left onto 64.30 Road, continue for 1 mile to a bridge crossing over Buzzard Creek and put in. |
