Put In:  Norwood Bridge
Take Out:  Green Tuss Bridge
Difficulty:  Class III
Gradient:  46 fpm
Run Length:  16 miles
Good Level:  1,250 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  Flows on this river are dependant on current snowpack
Season Comments:  June, July
Primary Season:  This section ususally runs for a short time in June during peak snowmelt, sometimes this run will continue to have water through July
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Class III rapids through a scenic canyon
Hazards:  About halfway through the run, just past Horsefly Creek, scout the low head dam. A line down the far river left side is possible. Low head dams are very dangerous, do not attempt to run this drop unless you are 100% positive of the line.
Water Craft:  kayak,wwcan,raft
Land Ownership:  Mixed private and public. The one possible portage around the low head dam is on private property so be respectful.

Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 365 miles (6 hours 42 minutes) Southwest of Denver
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: To reach the take out drive west at the intersection of Highway 141 and Highway 145 just outside of Naturita, then turn sharply up the hill onto EE30 Road. Continue over the hill, stay right of the power plant, and then continue on the road down the hill to the bridge.

Put In: On Highway 145, put in at the bridge between Norwood and Placerville.
