Continuous class III whitewater. The rocks in this section are round and smooth so they create some good play spots. |
| Hazards: |
1/2 mile above the Avon Bridge is a diversion dam that should be scouted. The line is right down the middle, scout from river right. Below the Avon Bridge is the last class III rapid after a long flat section. Edwards Mile Rapid can be difficult for intermediate boaters, especially at higher flows. |

| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: In Edwards drive west from the only stop light to the first bridge crossing the river. Park on river right upstream of the bridge, this will be the take out.
Put In: In Vail turn off of Highway 6 to the Riverbend Bus Stop, the put in is down the stairs leading to the river. |
