Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  This short stretch of whitewater is a fun hike and huck. Expect one waterfall after another for the entire .9 miles. Although most of the waterfalls are considered easy be experts a swim in this section could be very dangerous because the pools below the drops are very short.
Hazards:  Scout Stupid Falls, most people will take out above this large cascading falls. Also scout all of the drops on the hike to the put in.

Wilderness:  No
Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (CO), 235 miles (5 hours 20 minutes) Southwest of Denver
Shuttle Logistics:

Take Out: From Crested Butte head north on Gothic Road toward the ski mountain. A few miles up the road there is a large avalanche path on the hillside to the left and a sign that says “Private Land”. From here hike across the field to the ravine to scout the take out and Stupid Falls.

Put In: The put in is about .75 miles further up the road at the bridge in Gothic. Because this run is so short it is possible to hike shuttle or just hike back to the car with your boat.
