| Bear Valley Creek on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River |
This creek starts as a small stream in a wide alpine valley and then drops into a canyon of pine. The whitewater is gentle and straightforward; be on the lookout for logs. Marsh creek comes in from the right about seven miles in. The gradient picks up and there are several good class III rapids between the confluence and the take-out.
