| Kelly Creek on the North Fork Clearwater River |
| Kelly Creek is a tight little run in a deep canyon. The most difficult rapid is right away around the first bend at Clayton Creek. A river wide hole forms the entrance to this rapid at higher flows. The run-out is tight-lined long chute. After about a half mile, a big III/IV starts where the creek turns to the left. Next is a long and rocky class IV. There are three more read and run rapids before the river widens to the take-out. |
