| Marsh Creek on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River |
Marsh Creek starts off fairly mellow, but can be shallow in spots depending on the flow. The whitewater really picks up below the confluence of Bear Valley Creek about seven miles in. Rafts can have a tough time negotiating the tight lines. Some have had to be evacuated by helicopter. Sharp rock walls provide a puncture hazard in some spots. There are a few log jams to look out for as well. Overall, Marsh Creek is a beautiful scenic run, but leave plenty of time for potential problems.
