From Yellow Pine to the put-in: 1. Head east on Profile St toward Johnson Creek Rd/Nat for Dev Rd 413/Yellowpine Ave 427 ft 2. Turn left at Behne Ave 0.1 mi 3. Take the 1st left onto Nat for Dev Rd 412/Stibnite Rd 4.3 mi Stay to the right and continue on Stibnite Rd over the Monumental Summit and down into the Monumental drainage. Put in where the road crosses the creek for the second time. The take-out is the same as the Middle Fork of the Salmon.

The beginning of the run is a portage fest. The first rapid is about 7 miles down, near Milk Creek. The last 5 miles of the run are a non-stop class II rapid, with some more portages.
