Take Out:  Above Smiths Ferry

Permit:  None presently required.
Character/Similar To:  Scenic mountain river with a low gradient, rock gardens, and straight-forward rapids making it an excellent intermediate run.

Camping on River:  Camping permitted at the put-in and take-out. Good camping near Cascade Lake and Sage Hen Reservoir nearby.
Location:  In the Rocky Mtn Region (ID), 65 miles North of Boise
Shuttle Logistics: 

Put-in: Cabarton Bridge is some 9 miles north of Smiths Ferry and a quarter mile south of the highway bridge over Clear Creek; turn west off the highway near milepost 107 and drive about a mile and a half to the river.

Take-out: The large pine covered bar between the road and the river about a mile upstream from Smiths Ferry, near milepost 98.
