Saint Maries on the Saint Joe River

Below the put-in, the river drops into a deep, pine-covered canyon.  The rapids are class II for most of the run.  A splashy class III known as "The Loop" is just below the first railroad trestle about halfway through the run.  The river flattens to the take-out.
