To get to the put-in from McCall: 1. Head east on E Lake St toward N 3rd St 161 ft 2. Turn right at N 3rd St 328 ft 3. Take the 1st left onto Railroad Ave 0.2 mi 4. Turn right at Pine St 312 ft 5. Take the 1st left onto Roosevelt Ave 0.2 mi 6. Turn left at Hemlock St 112 ft 7. Take the 1st right toward Davis Ave 0.4 mi 8. Turn left at Davis Ave 0.1 mi 9. Take the 3rd right onto Lick Creek Rd 28.4 mi Ponderosa Campground The take-out is back down Lick Creek Road at the confluence of the South Fork of the Salmon.

Because it runs along the road, most of this can be road scouted. From the put-in, the run starts with a good drop and then flattens out to continuous class II-III for about two miles. The best part is the last mile before the confluence. Have fun and watch for logs.
