Off of Hwy 12 at the bridge over the Crooked Fork and Brushy Fork junction there is a road that goes up Brushy Creek for about 1/4 of a mile. Stop at the bridge over the creek. To get to the put-in, get back on Hwy 12 and head up Lolo Pass. At the visitor center on the right, take Elk Meadows Road east for about 13 miles until it crosses Brushy Creek.

Brushy Fork is another technical, wilderness steep creek. Recently, log jams seem to describe this run. There are two box canyons containing blind corners and steep drops. Shifting logs require astute scouting and several portages.
