Put In:  Manning Mill Bridge
Take Out:  Route 1A in Hampden
Difficulty:  Class III , Class IV
Gradient:  30 ft/mi
Run Length:  6 miles
Good Level:  Minimum 500 cfs
Season Comments:  March, April, May, June
Permit:  None presently required
Hazards:  Grand Falls, strainers, and a low head dam
Water Craft:  kayak
Land Ownership:  Mixed public and private
Wilderness:  No
Location:  In the Northeastern U.S. (ME), 70 miles Northeast of Augusta
Shuttle Logistics:  Put-in: From I-95 take the Route 44 West exit toward Hermon. Take Emerson Mill Road to Manning Mill Road and head to the bridge over the river. Put-in upstream of the rapid above the bridge.

Take-out: Located on river right at Route 1A in Hampden.
