To get to the take-out from Troy:

1. Head south on Yaak Ave toward E 4th St

2. Continue onto St Regis Haul Rd
0.4 mi
3. Turn left at US-2 E/E Missoula Ave
Continue to follow US-2 E
2.4 mi
4. Turn right at MT-56 S/Bull Lake Rd
17.9 mi
5. Turn right at Natl Forest Develop Road 398 Rd
Drive one mile until you reach a bridge.


To get to the put-in from the take-out:

Cross the bridge and bear left on 398 Road.  The put-in is about 3.5 miles from the bridge at the first access back down to the river. 

Ross Creek on the Kootenai River

Below the put-in is a ledge drop.  As the river bends left, get out and scout Ross Creek Falls on the right.  Next is class IV through a series of log jams.  The river becomes a boof party with a bunch of boulder drops on down to the take-out.
