Put-in: Fort Benton is about 40 miles northeast of Great Falls, Montana, on US 87. A popular alternate put-in at Coal Banks Landing is 40 miles further downstream near Virgelle.
Take-out: Robinson Bridge can be reached two ways: The southern route runs through Lewiston, Montana, via Montana 80, US 87, and US 191. The northern route runs through Havre, Montana, via US 87, US 2, Montana 66, and US 191.
