| Woodbine on the Stillwater River |
To put in, hike upstream as far as you want or put in at the campground. "Aqua Velva" is upstream. It is one of the most demanding drops and one of the best. Woodbine Rapids start as the river drops into the canyon. When a big rock appears in the middle of the river, scout right. The river continues with some class IV+ for about 3/4 of a mile. Chrome Mine Chute is the next big one; it can be scouted from the road on the way up. Take out about a 1/4 mile past the mine at the fishing access.
