Yaak River on the Kootenai River

After a couple of miles of class III, the river leads to Stone Chest, a powerful class IV rapid and the crux of the run.  Scout left.  The river mellows for about three miles then enters another gorge with a couple more good class IV drops which can be scouted from the left.
