| Confluence of N. Fork & S. Fork to Little S. Fork on the Kilchis River |
| The Kilchis River is a great run for the intermediate boater. There is continuous class II white water with a few class III ledges that deserve a scout. All of the class III ledges have obvious lines but should be scouted for wood. At about mile 5 there is a small ledge drop that looks easy but has a surprise wave at the bottom that often flips unwary boaters. Scout this drop. After the last class III the river calms to fast moving class I+/II until you reach the take out. At higher flows the lines down each rapid stay the same but can be very pushy. |
