Difficulty:  Class III Continuous
Gradient:  30 fpm
Run Length:  6.7 miles
Current Streamflow:  2360 cfs @ 12/14/2016 10:30 AM - WILSON RIVER NEAR TILLAMOOK, OR, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  4.5 feet and above
Streamflow Comments:  No gauge for this river exists. A reading of 4.5 feet on the Wilson River near Tillamook gauge is usually a minimum flow for this section of river.
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy season. This river only runs after a few days of heavy rain.
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Class II mixed with a few class III rapids in a lightly populated valley.
Hazards:  There are a few class III drops that should be scouted or portaged, they are at miles 0.5, 2 and 3.5. The upper 2 miles of this stretch often contains wood they may need to be portaged.

Land Ownership:  Mostly public forests with a few private land owners near the river.
Wilderness:  No
Location:  In the Pacific Region (OR), 81.4 miles (2 hours 11 minutes) Northwest of Salem
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Tillamook travel south on US 101 for 1 mile and turn left onto Long Prarie Road and drive for 3.2 miles. Turn right onto Trask River road immediately after crossing over the river, the take out is 6 miles up this road at the Upper Peninsula Boat Ramp.

Put In: From the take out return to Trask River Road and continue upriver for 6 miles, past Trask County Park and over the North Fork Trask River to a fork in the road. Bear left at the fork, cross the South Fork Trask. Put in a few hundred yards down this road just before you reach the Fish Hatchery.
