Put In at Foster Dam: From Albany take US 20 east 1 mile past the town of Sweet Home. Put in at the park at the base of Foster Dam.
Access Point at Sweet Home: 3 miles downriver of Foster Dam there is an access point in Sweet Home. Take US 20 west to Sweet Home; take a right onto Pleasant Valley Road. The access point is at a boat ramp just below the bridge.
Access Point at Waterloo: 11 Miles downriver of Sweet Home is the next access point at Waterloo. Continue west on US 20 and turn right onto W Waterloo Road and follow the signs to Waterloo County Park. Take out on river left just above Waterloo Falls.
Access Point at Lebanon: 5 miles downriver of Waterloo is the access point in Lebanon City Park. From Waterloo return to US 20 and go west to the town of Lebanon. Once in Lebanon turn right onto E Grant Street and follow the signs to the park on the river.
Access Point at Crabtree: 11 miles downriver of Lebanon is the next access point at the Oregon 226 bridge. From the park in Lebanon return to US 20 and continue west. Turn right onto Oregon 226, the access point is below the bridge crossing over the South Santiam.
Take Out at Jefferson: From the Crabtree access point return to US 20, head west and then north onto I-5. From I-5 take the Jefferson exit and follow the signs to US 99E. The take out is at a small boat ramp 100 yards below the US 99E bridge on the river right bank. |
