Gradient:  11 fpm

Good Level:  400 - 1,200 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  No gauge for this river exists
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy, this section only runs after a few days of heavy rain
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Swift moving flatwater
Hazards:  4 miles below the put in there is a weir that is a mandatory portage. The section of river below this run, Brownsville to Tangent, should not be run because there are many logjams.

Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From I-5 take the Brownsville exit onto Oregon 228. Take out is in the town of Brownsville at the city park, downstream of the bridge on river right.

Put In: From the take out continue down Oregon 228 about 6 miles to McKercher Park. Put in at the downstream end of the park at a sandy beach. Just above the put in, in the park, is a class IV rapid so make sure to put in below it.
