Put In:  Milepost 15
Take Out:  Milepost 8 Boat Ramp
Difficulty:  Class II + 900 - 1,000 cfs , Class III + above 1,200 cfs
Gradient:  26 fpm
Run Length:  7 miles
Current Streamflow:  2360 cfs @ 12/14/2016 10:30 AM - WILSON RIVER NEAR TILLAMOOK, OR, reading taken from USGS
Good Level:  1,200 - 7,000 cfs
Streamflow Comments:  The minimum flow for this stretch is 1,200 cfs and optimum flows are between 1,500 - 2,500 cfs.
Season Comments:  January, February, March, April, October, November, December
Primary Season:  Rainy, this section only runs after a few days of heavy rain
Permit:  None presently required
Character/Similar To:  Scenic canyon that at some parts of the day can be sunless. When the sunshines the water becomes very reflective showing the true colors of the forest. The rapids on this section are mostly class II+/III with long calm pools to seperate them.
Hazards:  .5 miles into the run is The Narrows, always scout this drop on each trip down because is often contains wood. Just over 1 mile into this section there is a class III rapid that should be scouted by first timers to this run.

Land Ownership:  Public forest
Wilderness:  Yes, but Oregon 6 is never more then a .5 mile away.
Location:  In the Pacific Region (OR), 94.1 miles (1 hour 58 minutes) Northwest of Salem
Shuttle Logistics: 

Take Out: From Tillamook take Oregon 6 east, just west of milepost 8 there is a Drift Boat Skid Launch, use this as the take out ramp.

Put In: From the take out continue upriver to milepost 15. The put in is below a rock outcropping on river right.
