Forested canyon with near vertical walls. Whitewater is class IV+/V and is very continuous for the first mile. After the Miracle Mile the river becomes pool drop. Most of the rapids on this run are twisty boulder gardens. |

This section of river has many class IV+/V rapids. There are many sticky hydraulics and places to pin boats. For the first run down it is highly recommended to go with someone who has done this stretch many times. |

In the Pacific Region (OR), 111 miles (2 hours 25 minutes) Southeast of Salem |
| Shuttle Logistics: |
Take Out: From I-5 take OR 58 east for 32 miles and turn left at Westfir. Drive straight through Westfir on North Fork Road and continue 8 miles to the first bridge over the river.
Put In: From the take out continue upriver for 4.8 miles, put in were the road is near the river. Put in is at one of the muddy turn outs.
